Activities at Bhakti Bhavan
The Training Programme at Bhakti Bhavan consists of three years of Spiritual Formation,
Community life, Basic English, Latin and other personality development courses including
PUC studies.

Details of the Training Programme are as follows:
- Spiritual Conferences every week : connecting scripture with the life of
the seminarian through lectures.
- One-to-one Monthly Manifestation : The Director and Spiritual Director personally
spend time with each seminarian to help and guide him in his personal
difficulties as he journeys towards the priesthood.
- General Conferences : Instructions on discipline, personal hygiene,
basic manners and community and personal decorum.
- Group Meditation : IInitiating young seminarians to search and reflect upon
the scriptures every morning, in the context of community and personal life.
- Praying for Benefactors : An essential part of the training involves intensive prayer
for benefactors of Bhakti Bhavan and also praying for specific intentions receive as
“prayer requests” from people from different parts of the world.
- Music Classes : Training young people to fine tune voices and to play musical
instruments with a view to contribute towards the church liturgy.
- Extension Courses : Courses on Journalism, and communication, gardening,
photography and other essentials to keep pace with the modern world.
- Public Speaking : Each seminarian is trained with skills for public speaking
with a view to shaping them into good preachers for the church.
- Exposure Programmes : Visits to charity homes, homes for the aged, orphanages,
slums and similar places to keep seminarians exposed to the harsh realities of life.
Programmes are also organized to religious places and places of cultural interest to
refine attitudes towards religions and cultures.
- Group Dynamics : Seminarians are frequently put through group activity to
assess and to help them develop better inter-relationships.
- Recreation : Outdoor and indoor recreation is essentiall part of the formation.
- Talent Development : Every hidden talent is brought to the light through
various entertainment and literary programmes organized from time to time.
- Inter-Seminary Activity : Seminarians are given ample of opportunities to interact with
other seminaries on various levels to develop a better fraternity with all those in the
formation.
